We are looking for a Senior QA Automation engineer experienced in Cypress test automation tool. You are proficient in engineering an automation FRAMEWORK from the ground up. This is a client facing role and works with the business to fully understand their needs, document current processes, and identify issues to the current process to provide solutions to the problems. You will be meeting with business, technology and preparing high level program charters and business requirements documents. As the business analysis requires development and/or implementation of system solutions, you will also be coordinating QA, UAT and delivery efforts with business teams and coordinate with developers and QA teams to bring the required functionality into reality. As the role will be working closely with business, it is also important to note that a good portion of the role will rely on the relationship building and generation of future initiatives at the client through delivery of the current work.
Essential Job Functions
• Proficient with the Cypress automation tool
• Proficient with engineering an automation framework from the ground up (you have helped multiple customers in the past with a similar activity)
• Work closely with Stakeholders, BAs, QA leads and Dev leads
• Coach, mentor and train the development, QA and BA teams to imbibe the framework into their DNA
• Assist the governance teams in monitoring and making course corrections as needed to ensure the entire team is following the process
• Strategize how the tests are written and how the scripts are maintained
• Proficient in connecting the automation suite to a CI/CD pipeline
• The success will be measured as follows:
• Best Practice Standards are determined and documented
• A Framework is envisioned and built and functioning
• The incumbent team has learned the process and is effectively implementing it
• A CI/CD pipeline is in place
Required Education, Skills and Experience
• 15+ years of experience as an IT professional
• 5+ years working with the Cypress tool
• Proficient in engineering an automation FRAMEWORK from the ground up for a minimum of 3 customers in the past
• Proficient in building the complete Cypress Suite of test with little to NO assistance
• Assist the BA's in helping to define the test cases that can/should be automated to achieve REGRESSION COVERAGE
• Strategize how the tests are written and how the scripts are maintained
• Proficient in connecting the automation suite to a CI/CD pipeline
• A proficient INSTRUCTOR, with the ability to help motivate the team to CHANGE PROCESS to a left-shifted automation (quality) paradigm.
