The Worldwide Retail Growth and Development team is responsible for the strategic planning, acquisition, design, construction, launch, and maintenance of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores' real estate assets. This includes Whole Foods Market, Amazon Grocery Stores, and Amazon Grocery Logistics.
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Tech to align the vision and set the roadmap for grocery network expansion products that will be used to drive the strategy and optimization of real estate for instore and online grocery demand. This role will heavily partner with our research science team, software development team, real estate managers, finance partners, and site research team. This role requires deep domain expertise in retail and online demand optimization modeling, deploying ML algorithms for use by non-technical customers, and end-to-end 1P product development. This role requires strong business and financial acumen. Setting a strong vision that stakeholders can rally behind will be paramount to successfully navigate ambiguity and drive results for customers. Additionally, this role will also manage the licensing and contracts of 3P data sets and geo-spatial tools. This role will directly impact the long term strategy and success of Amazon's grocery ventures.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and customer engagement for grocery network expansion and location products
• Develop and maintain a 3-yr roadmap aligned with organizational goals and priorities
• Deeply understand the customer need, and translating that into technical requirements that can be developed by tech/science teams
• Develop and track key performance indicators to measure product success and customer impact
• Identify complementary use cases across Amazon to extend product value

The Retail Growth & Development team is at the forefront of expanding and optimizing Amazon's physical retail presence. We oversee strategic planning, development, and operations for a diverse portfolio of grocery stores and logistics facilities. Our team combines innovative thinking with operational excellence to create exceptional shopping experiences for customers. We're passionate about sustainable growth and committed to building the future of retail through collaboration, creativity, and customer obsession.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience managing technical products or online services
• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
