Sr Principal Product Designer , AWS Solutions

Remote Full-time
Description

AWS Solutions is a new organization with ambitions to be a leading provider of business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. Our mission is to accelerate our customers’ businesses by delivering intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon’s real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

To be successful in this mission we are looking for a creative focused Sr Principal Product Designer. The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of the AWS landscape and complexity challenges and build a strong point-of-view on transformation opportunities to improve the look and feel of our product suite.

Key job responsibilities
• Create a cohesive vision for integrated AWS experiences and build a strong point-of-view on transformation opportunities to improve the look and feel of our product suite.
• Address design debt and complexity through intentional design and thoughtfully distill complex processes into intuitive and elegant UI.
• Establish and maintain detailed user-interface patterns and specifications—working closely with developers to see your design through to deployment.
• Align stakeholders around cohesive design vision and communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• Partner closely with other product and design teams across Amazon.
• Mentor junior talent.
