Sr. Postgres Developer ( Remote)
About the position Cognizant is seeking a Senior Postgres Developer to join our AI Practice, which focuses on leveraging digital technologies, including analytics and AI, to help companies enhance their performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, particularly with PostgreSQL, and will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that align with our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of PostgreSQL query analysis, including the use of trigrams, UNION and UNION ALL operators, and Full Text Search capabilities. Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is a plus, as the candidate will be expected to support other application teams by providing insights around SQL and managing database objects effectively. The Senior Postgres Developer will play a critical role in performance tuning of queries and building and managing Full Text Search configurations in PostgreSQL. The position demands a strong background in SQL, with at least 15 years of experience in data engineering and SQL queries. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with various teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
