Job Summary We're on the hunt for talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineers/Data Scientists to join our team. As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer – Data Scientist, you will work in one of the most complex data environments in healthcare, developing state-of-the-art large-scale Machine Learning Services and Applications on the Cloud. You'll apply innovative Machine Learning techniques to real-world problems, driving operational improvements for healthcare. Key Responsibilities Apply machine learning models to solve real-world problems with multiple stakeholders. Develop and deploy end-to-end app solutions, emphasizing analysis and model development. Advance machine learning skills using Python or R, focusing on clustering, regression, classification, and machine learning frameworks like Apache Mahout. Assess model performance, train multiple models, and carry out tuning. Run A/B tests on models and work with database systems. Transform and clean data into an appropriate form for statistical analysis. Collaborate with domain experts to identify areas where predictive analytics can drive improvements. Be an active listener, probe requirements for projects, and stay nimble to produce rapid iterations. Work independently within context, demonstrating self-direction. Essential and Preferred Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 3+ years of machine learning experience with a focus on predictive analytics in a business or healthcare setting. Deep knowledge of a scripting or statistical programming language , preferably Python, and basic SQL. Experience with large datasets and the ability to efficiently work with them. Familiarity with deep learning concepts and techniques. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study. 5+ years of SQL experience and 2+ years working with open-source Big Data technology stacks (Apache Nifi, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Hadoop/HDFS, Hive, Drill, Pig, etc.). 3+ years with document databases (e.g., MongoDB, Accumulo, etc.). 2+ years of distributed version control system experience (e.g., git). 1+ year of experience in cloud-based development and delivery .
