What You Will Be DoingWe are seeking a seasoned and self-driven Senior IT & Security Specialist to lead and manage our office infrastructure. This includes overseeing network, firewall, Wi-Fi, endpoint security, and IT asset lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and brings strong technical expertise with a security-first mindset to ensure reliable, compliant, and secure IT operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities Network Security & Firewall Management: Administer and configure enterprise firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, SonicWall) Design secure network topologies: VLANs, ACLs, NAT, traffic shaping, etc Conduct regular firewall audits, patching, and rule optimization Network & Wi-Fi Infrastructure: Manage network hardware (switches, routers, cabling, patch panels) Deploy and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi (SSID, WPA3, RADIUS) Lead resolution of network, latency, and bandwidth issues IT Asset & Endpoint Lifecycle: Maintain inventory of all IT assets (hardware/software) Oversee procurement, deployment, and decommissioning processes IT Operations & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support and manage escalated issues Liaise with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams for uptime and upgrades Support onboarding/offboarding in terms of access and devices Maintain up-to-date documentation (SOPs, diagrams, logs) Security & Compliance: Implement controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS standards Respond to network incidents and manage vulnerabilities Assist in internal audits and ensure compliance readiness Stay informed on security threats and patch management Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure and network security roles Proficient in firewalls, LAN/WAN, VPN, cloud connectivity, and endpoint tools Strong track record managing IT across hybrid/multi-site setups Preferred Qualifications CISM / CISSP / CompTIA Security+ certification CCNA / CCNP certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / MCSE Proactive and SLA-driven mindset Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Self-learner passionate about continuous improvement Effective collaborator with HR, compliance, and leadership teams Work Environment On-site with some flexibility Alternate Saturday working schedule Willingness to support during off-hours for maintenance or incidents CrashPlan values workplace diversity and ensuring an environment of mutual respect.
