In this role, you will partner with a global network of cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver solutions that attract, grow, and retain a niche talent segment doing important and meaningful work. Your days will be a blend of tactical, hands-on activities as well as thinking big by using your creativity and passion to build unique experiences for our workforce. Focus areas will include (but not be limited to) employee engagement, communication strategy, cultivating culture, policy creation, and specialized compensation.This role will support regions both in the U.S. and abroad. We are seeking someone who can effectively collaborate with business leaders at all levels across a global footprint, and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong business acumen. You will be the champion of Amazon's culture and values, partnering with your team and clients to collectively build the most customer obsessed solutions.Key job responsibilities

Program management. Build plans with clear objectives, milestones, stakeholders, and metrics.
Prioritization. There will be a constant flow of work, both operational and strategic, sometimes with competing priorities. Determine what gets done first and why, while managing a plan for what to do with everything else.
Build relationships. Partner with global HR leaders, while working closely with business leaders across AWS. Share best practices, partner on solutions, and move the organizations forward together.
Have bias for action and comfortably handle ambiguity. Sometimes it is not clear how we are going to get there. Are you energized by creating a new path where one may not exist? How fast can you do it? What are the tradeoffs?
Think big. How do we build bigger, better, faster? What aren't we thinking of?
Communicate clearly. Share your ideas verbally and in writing, listen to others, follow-up, and follow-up again.
Be resourceful. If you don't know how to solve it, that's ok, but you should know where to go for the answer or how to find out.
Use data to make decisions. Be more than comfortable talking about numbers and data in a deep and detailed way, able to tell someone what the data is actually saying.
Display high judgment. Take different perspectives and business needs, develop a solution that works, move the ball forward. Be able to support your opinions with sound reasoning grounded in what's best for our customers.
Leadership and experience with Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, and Inclusion and Diversity initiatives.

You will be part of an HR Center of Excellence which is focused on the success of a niche business segment. Together this team of HR specialists and HRBPs develops cross-cutting programs and delivers localized solutions to meet customer-specific requirements. We are a close team of passionate professionals who love to have fun while making history at AWS!BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in human resources, business, science or related field
6+ years of experience in an HR role or related HR leadership position.
4+ years of experience in program/project management within HR in a complex global environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
Track record of using data and analytics to drive HR decisions and demonstrate business impact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong functional HR knowledge including compensation/total rewards, talent management, performance management, compliance, and learning and development
Strong understanding of P/L and business operational excellence
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.

The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market.
