For more information about Draper, visit www.draper.com. Job Description Summary: The Sr. Human Resources Assistant will work within a dynamic HR team in support of day-to-day operations. They will ensure a smooth transition for newly hired employees, by efficiently managing the HR operations processes, maintain accurate employment records, and work as a trusted partner to offer guidance and support. In addition, they will be the primary liaison with the recruiting team, Draper hiring managers, employees and our external employment applicants. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities • Trusted partner with the recruiters as well as the business line managers and administrative staff to schedule interviews for prospective candidates. • Accurately track all candidate and new hire activity within the HCM system (Workday). • Be the primary liaison between external applicants and Draper for all interviews, as well as pre and post-employment paperwork. • Initiate, confirm and review background investigation paperwork working directly with our background screening company. • Create and meticulously maintain applicant records and employee files. • This position will assist in the coordination of employee onboarding and orientation activities including the completion of new hire employment paperwork. • Process all pre-employment background and employment eligibility checks by utilizing an external vendor and the USCIS’s E-Verify tool. • Support departmental leaders in assuring business and employee needs are met efficiently and effectively. • Provide support to the HR and Recruiting Teams in administering revised processes on an ongoing basis. • Assist in handling all day to day HR inquiries with sensitivity and confidentiality. • Provide additional support to HR team and work on ad hoc assignments as needed. • Assist with employment verifications. Skills/Abilities • Strong interaction and familiarity with HR and Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday. • Experience processing data, strong data entry skills required. • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. • The ability to handle multiple priorities while still effectively achieving set objectives and remaining flexible. • Collaborative working style. Education • Associate Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. Experience 3-5 years experience support HR/Recruiting operations including processing new hires and onboarding new employes. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
