Job Description Location: Fully Remote in Mexico Redzone by QAD is looking for a Senior Go Software Engineer to join our global engineering team. You will be a key part of the team developing and maintaining the QAD Champion API Backend, which powers our primary AI use cases across various products. What You’ll Do: Develop and enhance AI workflows to support QAD applications. Deliver committed work during sprints to achieve business goals. Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and ideas. Write maintainable, testable code and provide expertise during incidents to resolve customer issues. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with Golang. Experience with API-first design using OpenAPI Spec (OAS). Strong knowledge of relational database design, specifically PostgreSQL, with experience in sqlc and pgx. Familiarity with database migration patterns (e.g., “expand and contract”) using go-migrate. Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Trunk Based Development, and Continuous Delivery. Proficiency in writing observable and testable code with libraries like testify and mockgen. Experience publishing and consuming Avro-formatted Kafka messages. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Docker and AWS Cloud Services (EKS, RDS). Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and prompt engineering. Experience with LaunchDarkly for feature flagging. Knowledge of oapi-codegen for generating Echo handlers and models. Experience with AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases and Agents, or AWS SageMaker.
