Role: Sr. GenAI Automation Specialist (Power Automate & Copilot Studio)

Location: Remote (EST Time)

Long Term Contract - W2 / C2C

Job Description: We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced GenAI Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive our intelligent automation and conversational AI initiatives. In this critical role, you'll leverage your deep expertise in Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents), and advanced prompt engineering to innovate, optimize business processes, and enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development
• Design and implement robust automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, integrating with diverse systems like SharePoint, Dataverse, and third-party APIs.
• Lead the end-to-end development of conversational AI solutions in Microsoft Copilot Studio, from bot design to intent recognition, entity extraction, and dialogue management.
• Craft and optimize sophisticated prompts for large language models (LLMs) to achieve precise outcomes in AI-driven applications and Copilot Studio bots.
Technical Leadership & Guidance
• Serve as the primary SME for Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and prompt engineering, offering expert guidance, best practices, and technical mentorship.
• Stay ahead of the curve on the latest advancements in AI, automation, and conversational AI technologies, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem, recommending strategic adoption.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews to ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of developed solutions.
Strategic Planning & Consultation
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, analyze requirements, and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
• Provide expert advice on the feasibility, design, and implementation of AI and automation solutions that align with business objectives.
• Develop and deliver training programs and documentation for Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and prompt engineering best practices.
Optimization & Support
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Power Automate flows, Copilot Studio bots, and AI model interactions.
• Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of automation and AI solutions, identifying areas for efficiency gains.
Governance & Security
• Implement and enforce governance policies and security best practices for Power Automate and Copilot Studio environments.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security standards.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Overall IT Experience: 8-12+ Years
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions with Microsoft Power Automate.
• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying conversational AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio (or Power Virtual Agents).
• Proven track record with prompt engineering for various large language models (LLMs), with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
• Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse) is a significant advantage.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Technical Skills
• Deep understanding of Power Automate triggers, actions, expressions, and connectors.
• Proficiency in designing complex Power Automate flows, including error handling, approvals, and data manipulation.
• Expertise in building and managing topics, entities, variables, and authentication within Copilot Studio.
• Strong understanding of Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Generation (NLG) principles.
• Demonstrable ability to craft effective and nuanced prompts for LLMs to elicit specific responses and behaviors.
• Familiarity with Azure Cognitive Services (e.g., LUIS, QnA Maker, Azure OpenAI Service) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for integration purposes is a plus.
