About the Position:
**This is a remote position with required occasional travel to the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Candidates within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis are preferred.**
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements and analyses to facilitate company decision-makingOversee monthly close, incorporating Milestone templates and toolsPrepare budgets and monitor performance against planForecast short-term cash needs and assist client companies in managing costs and cash flowAssess internal control environment and implement process improvementsCommunicate effectively with owners/management regularly to establish performance expectationsStay current on accounting/financial reporting rules and developments and apply new accounting principles as appropriate.Prepare written reports and summaries for executive management and boards.Collaborate with the CEO, board, investors/owners and external stakeholdersAssess internal control environment and implement process improvementsBuild and maintain long-term projection models and help company management understand model outputsReconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisEquity and cap table reconciliation
Job Requirements
10+ years of experience required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required (CPA preferred)Solid working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement presentation, and accounting industry systems, tools and templates.Ability to manage multiple projects and clients with minimal supervision.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.Passionate about technology and able to learn new software quickly.Time-management, task prioritization and advanced skills in Google Sheets/ExcelOccasional travel to the Indianapolis area.
