Sr. Computer Vision (CV) Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Sr. Computer Vision (CV) Engineer to work on improving the core pieces of our mapping and localization capabilities. The main responsibilities of this role are accurately localizing images taken on construction sites and generating 3D reconstructions. There will also be a fair amount of general algorithm development in support of the rest of our 3D perception capabilities. Brief summary of role: • Design and architect complex, multi-component computer vision systems • Prototype such systems and run detailed tests to evaluate performance on real world data • Work with platform engineers to develop production level implementations • Oversee dataset creation, curation, and labeling as necessary • Monitor system performance in production and ensure adequate performance • Assist in debugging and resolving failure edge cases in our production processing pipeline • Contribute to defining development processes, best practices, and documentation What we are looking for: • M.S./Ph.D. in related field or equivalent industry experience • Minimum of 2 years industry experience developing Python code • Experience with camera models and camera calibration • Comfort with 3D pose representations and transforms • Experience with at least one of the following: SLAM, Structure from Motion (SfM), 3D reconstruction, photogrammetry, Visual Inertial Odemetry (VIO) • Experience with 360/spherical image representations • Familiar with all basic CV concepts like camera models, feature detection and matching, 3D pose representations and transforms, image processing, etc. • Solid Python programming skills • 3D visualizations and debug interfaces (OpenGL/PyQt) • Numerical optimization • Computational Geometry • Probabilistic modeling Base Salary: $152,000 to $239,500 The "Base Salary: range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations including but not limited to CA, CO, NY, WA, NV, MD, CT and RI. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: location of candidate, unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
