About the Role: Sr. Compliance Analyst – Regulatory Change Management Expert We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Compliance Analyst to join our team in Regulatory Change Management. As a Sr. Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Brighthouse Financial complies with various requirements governing our insurance and annuity businesses. This role will have a primary focus on identifying and reviewing new and amended laws and regulations that may apply to the Company, as well as involvement in the administration and maintenance of the Company’s policies. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Monitoring and Analysis: Review new and pending legal and regulatory requirements introduced by applicable regulators, including state insurance departments, state securities divisions, FINRA, and the SEC to determine applicability to the Company. Implementation and Documentation: Work with relevant departments to understand the implementation efforts for compliance with new and pending laws and document those accordingly using the Company’s risk management tool, OpenPages. Quarterly Testing and Metrics: Perform quarterly testing of the Company’s Regulatory Change Management program to ensure that controls are functioning effectively and provide monthly operational metrics for the Regulatory Change Management program that will be shared with senior management. Policy and Procedure Development: Assist the Company’s Policy and Procedure Working Group with the development and maintenance of Company, Entity, and Department policies and procedures. Regulatory Training and Awareness: Collaborate with the Company’s Learning & Development team in building and updating regulatory training distributed to Brighthouse associates and partner with Communications to deliver Compliance best practices and raise awareness via the Company’s weekly newsletter. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or required. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to the insurance and securities industries. Intellectual Curiosity and Flexibility: Intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability in relations with superiors and peers. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Paralegal Experience: Paralegal or experience interpreting laws and regulations a plus.
