Position: Sr. Claims Specialist (Work Comp)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Handle single and multi-party commercial line Workman's Compensation claims of moderate to high exposure and complexity
• Document claims files by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information
• Analyze relevant facts to determine liability and coverage verification
• Develop case strategies for timely resolution of claims and establish timely reserves
• Negotiate settlements of claims by establishing appropriate negotiation strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
• Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area, or equivalent experience
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
• High School Diploma Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• 6 or more years of experience handling high severity Workers Compensation litigated claims
• Active adjuster's license in the state of California
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex coverage determinations to clients
• Experience collaborating in a team environment and building cross-functional working relationships
