Sr. Azure Data Lakehouse Engineer. Remote Long Term Multi year
For one of our ongoing Long Term (Multi Year) project, we are looking for an EXPERT Azure Data Lakehouse Engineer. The position is 100% remote. JOB SUMMARY This position requires extensive experience in developing Azure data lakehouses using Synapse notebooks (written in Python), Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and the Microsoft Power Platform. This role will assess existing products, provide consulting on performance optimization strategies, integrate new data sources into the data lakehouse, and influence architectural decisions for high-performance data environments. REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in data engineering and development, specializing in Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Python. • Proficient in designing and implementing data lakehouse ecosystems and integrating data from various sources. • Extensive experience using Python for Synapse notebooks and data transformation. • Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate. • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL, and Data Factory expertise. • Skilled in using Azure Synapse to develop ELT data integration processes. • Advanced proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation in Synapse notebooks. • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes with the capability to design efficient data pipelines. • Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and performance optimization strategies in Azure environments. • Experience with Power BI and Power Automate to facilitate self-service analytics for business users. • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, capable of guiding a team of data engineers and developers. • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with experience in cross-functional teams. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, focused on delivering practical and scalable solutions.
