Sr. Architect, IT Applications - Cyber Security
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Architect, IT Applications to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Information Technology division, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in the architecture, design, development, and deployment of solutions within our client base.
Job Summary:
Design and implement architectures that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, standards, and guidelines for application development and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Implement and manage Azure security, including network, host, and resource security, as well as monitoring and log analysis
Develop and maintain SaaS/ASP applications across multiple business segments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in application architecture and design
Proven experience with Azure, IaC automation (Bicep or Terraform), and web development
Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud computing concepts
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in cyber security and digital protection
Airline industry experience
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and Agile methodologies
