A Westside startup is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for inventory, CIP, fixed assets, capitalized labor, and doing it all from a technical accounting perspective of the parameters around a public company environment. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accounting Manager should be able to work in fast-paced environment, be able to work with operations, and be able to work in a team. What do you need in this Senior Accounting Manager role?
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
15-20+ years of accounting experience (audit background preferred)
Must have public company experience
Must have experience in inventory and fixed assets
Must have experience as a Manager and supervising others
CPA highly preferred
What will you do in this Senior Accounting Manager role?
Ensure accounting compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
Oversee fixed assets, inventory, revenue, leases, and financial reporting
Oversee assigned sections of month-end close
Manage internal labor capitalization, CIP, and inventory
GL reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance analysis
Balance sheet and income statement analysis
Month end accruals and journal entries
Support financial reporting and technical accounting when needed
Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements
Support the financial statement audit
Ad hoc projects and reporting
