CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is a healthcare organization seeking a Sponsorship Specialist to support their sponsorship portfolio in Maryland and DC. The role involves planning and executing partnerships, managing vendor relationships, and assessing the effectiveness of sponsorships and events. Responsibilities Establishes sponsorship market presence by developing strategic marketing and sales plans, publicizing sponsored events Identifies potential sponsors by researching and collecting competitive intelligence; exploring leads; evaluating opportunities Support sponsorship and event processes and serves as the point person with vendors and partners to coordinate details including billing, promotion, and other logistics Supports the activation of sponsorship assets focused on growing CareFirst brand awareness and favorability Helps to keep accurate and updated records of all contacts and assets Supports the assessment of each sponsorship and event effectiveness and report regularly on key metrics Skills Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience 1 year experience in corporate sponsorship or events Demonstrated success in planning, project management/coordination and meeting deadlines Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Strong negotiation and closing skills Strong event planning skillset, both pre and post event Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Various incentive programs/plans 401k contribution programs/plans Company Overview CareFirst.
