Job Summary


American Airlines is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specialist, IT Inventory Support (Warehouse) to join our Technology Operations team. This role is essential in supporting IT warehouse functions including inventory tracking, equipment lifecycle management, and ensuring the timely delivery of technology assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, familiarity with IT hardware, and a proactive approach to ensuring inventory accuracy in a dynamic environment.




Key Responsibilities




  • Maintain accurate records of all IT inventory using inventory management systems




  • Receive, inspect, log, and stock IT equipment and related materials




  • Process and track equipment requests, returns, repairs, and disposals




  • Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill IT hardware needs across various locations




  • Ensure compliance with company asset management policies and security guidelines




  • Conduct periodic physical audits to reconcile inventory records




  • Package, label, and ship IT hardware following best practices




  • Troubleshoot and escalate inventory discrepancies or hardware issues as needed




  • Assist in developing and updating inventory control processes and documentation




  • Support IT projects and initiatives that require hardware logistics and coordination






Required Skills and Qualifications




  • High school diploma or GED equivalent




  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)




  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (laptops, monitors, networking equipment, etc.)




  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills




  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)




  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs regularly




  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (may be required for some locations)




  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, or equivalent)






Experience




  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory control, preferably in an IT or technology-related field




  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, corporate environment is highly desirable




  • Experience with IT asset lifecycle management is a strong plus






Working Hours




  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week




  • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility required for special projects or urgent requests




  • On-site role with occasional travel to local offices or distribution centers
