The Human Resources Specialist will provide HR and labour relations support to business leaders, enabling informed decisions and managing employee relations issues.ResponsibilitiesProvide advice, coaching and counseling support to local management in employee and/or labour relations: contract interpretation, discipline, attendance management and grievancesSupport the grievance preparation and administration process working in conjunction with Union representatives, HRBPs and internal business stakeholdersTrack grievances and provide information, guidance, analysis, recommendations and assistance on issues and casesMaintain a filing system for active grievances, referred to arbitration, monthly agendas, specific cases and documentsLead or support investigations and fact finding on employee and labour relations issues related to harassment and disciplinary issuesSupport leaders with Human Resource objectives including policy compliance as well as performance management guidanceLead the attendance management program ensuring effective training, communication and consistency within each business unitMonitor and complete all relevant reports, tracking systems, and documentation, as neededConduct training for employees and managers on labour relations, attendance management, anti-harassment and discrimination as requiredAct as a change agent to support critical business initiatives and support leaders in all elements of effective change managementSkillsUniversity degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field1-3 years of human resources/labour relations experience is requiredStrong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to interact with all levels of employees and managementProven knowledge of Human Resources Practices, labour relations, employment law and recruitmentStrong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills to address heavy peak period work activitiesStrong problem-solving skills and proven ability to exercise sound professional judgment, especially regarding confidential/sensitive mattersAbility to work in a fluid and challenging work environment with changing deadlinesAbility to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner with members, office staff, stakeholders and the general publicUnderstanding of and a commitment to confidentialityExcellent communication skills (written and verbal, formal and informal)Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems literacyBenefitsComprehensive benefits packageAccess to retirement and saving programsFamily and employee assistance programPaid vacation and floater daysCompany OverviewCoke Canada Bottling is Canada’s Local Bottler.
