Job Description:
• Analyzes and verifies financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identifies discrepancies and resolves issues in financial transactions.
• Matches and reconciles bank statements with internal records.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assists with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develops and implements process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency.
• Provides regular reports on reconciliation status and issues to management.
• Maintains detailed documentation of reconciliation processes and findings.
• Ensures timely and accurate posting of payments and corrections. Investigates and resolves variances in account balances.
• Collaborates with other departments to gather necessary information for reconciliations.
• Reviews and reconciles accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepares and posts journal entries related to reconciliations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles. [Required]
• Ability to problem solve. [Required]
• Professional and effective in communication skills. [Required]
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and thoroughness. [Required]
• Ability to handle multiple, concurrent assignments. [Required]
• Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Excel and other relevant software). [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
• in Accounting, Finance, or other business related degree
Work Experience:
• Experience posting journal entries [Preferred]
• Experience with the cash posting process for patient and insurance payments and/or with the reconciliation of cash receipts. [Preferred]
• Familiarity with business concepts, practices, and procedures. [Preferred]
