Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this Special Education Teacher position, you must:
Hold an active state Special Education license..
Have a bachelors or masters degree in Special Education.
Be a changemaker as an Adaptive Education Expert in Floresville, TX. Help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and address students unique learning challenges through assessments.
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that focus on student strengths.
Provide instruction in self-contained classrooms to support diverse needs.
Work with therapists and school psychologists to ensure well-rounded student support.
Document progress and maintain compliance with all educational standards.
Details & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required.
Valid Alabama Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain) is mandatory.
Strong organizational and instructional skills are essential.
Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation - Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs K-5 students
