Minimum Requirements:

To qualify for this Special Education Teacher position, you must:

Hold an active state Special Education license..

Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education.

Be a changemaker as an Adaptive Education Expert in Floresville, TX. Help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate and address students’ unique learning challenges through assessments.
• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that focus on student strengths.
• Provide instruction in self-contained classrooms to support diverse needs.
• Work with therapists and school psychologists to ensure well-rounded student support.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all educational standards.

Details & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field required.
• Valid Alabama Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain) is mandatory.
• Strong organizational and instructional skills are essential.
• Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation - Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs – K-5 students
