Job Summary:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized instruction, support, and guidance to students in an online environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide high-quality online instruction, support, and guidance to students
Communicate with parents, related service staff, and other educators to ensure students receive necessary services
Collect data and work samples to monitor student progress towards IEP goals and objectives
Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP
Establish and maintain positive relationships with families and communicate regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Active State Special Education teaching license
Ability to clear required background check
Endorsement in Special Education
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the proposed age group
Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
Experience teaching online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
Experience with online learning platforms
