Working with 4th and 5th grade students, you’ll teach all core subjects while students also participate in daily specials — creating a balanced, engaging learning experience. This role isn’t just about instruction; it’s about collaboration, creativity, and building plans together to truly meet each student’s needs.
Position Details
• Location: Mount Prospect, IL (specific school site shared during interview)
• Grade levels: 4th and 5th grade
• Subjects: All core academic areas; students will also attend specials daily
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full 2025–2026 school year
• Hours: Full'time, onsite
What You’ll Do Every Day
• Deliver individualized, evidence'based instruction tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Serve as the case manager for students, leading IEP development and monitoring behavior plans
• Collaborate closely with therapists and team members to co'create accommodations, supports, and behavior strategies
• Provide direct academic and behavioral support to help students build independence and self'confidence
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation to ensure compliance and measure progress
• Foster a classroom environment where every student feels respected, engaged, and encouraged to grow
