Special Education Paraprofessional (PreK) - Immediate Opening

Join Our Dynamic Team and Make a Difference in the Lives of Students!
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to provide instructional and support services to students in a PreK setting. As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision of a teacher or other professional staff member to support the academic, behavioral, language, and physical needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, support services, and students to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
Maintain accurate records, including anecdotal notes and data recording, to inform instruction and support student progress
Develop and implement strategies to promote social interaction, acceptance, and inclusion of students within the school community
Assist students with daily activities, such as feeding, toileting, and recess, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment
Support students during emergency situations, drills, and field trips, and provide assistance as needed
Stay up-to-date on student IEP goals, medical needs, and limitations, and adapt instruction and support accordingly
Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify materials and implement behavioral intervention plans as needed

Requirements:

Valid Paraprofessional License
Basic knowledge of technology and willingness to learn
Desire to work with students with special needs and ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
CPI Certification (training provided by District 47)
