Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address each student's unique needs.
Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with disabilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Track and assess students' academic and behavioral progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and behavior.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss students' progress and any necessary interventions.
Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Valid Texas Teaching License with Special Education certification.
Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities and learning challenges.
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
