Spatial Analyst (Remote Sensing)

Due to our sustained organisational growth, we are currently seeking an early career spatial analyst to join our Biodiversity Team.You will be responsible and accountable for:Contribute to the delivery of projects using remote sensing and other spatial analysis techniquesWork within a broad, interdisciplinary team to assist in delivering products such as remote sensing assessments, habitat mapping and modelling, and other technical spatial services as requiredAssist in interpreting remote sensing and other geospatial outputs in an environmental context and provide inputs into reports.What do you need?Our people are passionate technical specialists that enjoy the wide range of benefits and diversity of consultancy life. We are keen to find like-minded professionals that have the following experience and attributes:Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in remote sensingRelevant tertiary qualifications in Remote Sensing / GIS / Spatial Sciences / SurveyingA multi-disciplinary approach to collaboration, and flexibility/willingness to work across multiple sectorsExceptional teamwork and relationship building skillsAbility to thrive in fast paced consulting environmentMandatory Requirements:Demonstrated commercial experience in optical remote sensing analysis and interpretation for environmental applicationsHigh level of proficiency using the ESRI ArcProProficiency with QGISA background in environmental sciences and/or ecologyStrong report writing skillsDesired:Preferred location for position is Brisbane, but other locations may be considered for the right candidateExperience with both active and passive remote sensing approachesExperience mapping and monitoring vegetation using remote sensing at various spatial scalesExperience with ArcGIS Online and Field MapsProfessional experience working in carbon sequestration, mine rehabilitation, approvals, and/or renewablesExposure to Python and/or R for analysis and process automationWho We Are:As the world’s leading sustainability consulting firm, ERM is uniquely positioned to contribute to the environment and society through the expertise and energy of our employees worldwide.
