Spacecraft Mechanical Production Engineer

They are seeking a Spacecraft Mechanical Production Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize production processes for mechanical structures and mechanisms for various vehicles. The role involves collaboration with engineers and technicians to create optimized designs for space operations. Responsibilities Support the setup and scaling of spacecraft mechanical manufacturing capabilities for developmental programs and rate production Develop work instructions for the assembly, integration, and test of structural subsystems, mechanisms, deployables, and related ground support equipment and tooling Directly support production on the floor to ensure efficient build of mechanical hardware, addressing bottlenecks and troubleshooting technical issues as needed Generate and resolve non-compliance reports for mechanical hardware, conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions Oversee calibration and certification of mechanical ground support equipment including fixtures, lifting devices, and test equipment Drive process improvements and corrective actions to increase the efficiency and reliability of mechanical hardware manufacturing Collaborate with design engineering to provide manufacturability feedback and contribute to technical documentation, including drawings, process flows, and test specifications Skills Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline Years of relevant experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering for aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems in line with engineering level Experience with PLM, MES, configuration and data management controls and systems Experience working to AS9100 process and standards Hands-on experience with mechanical component fabrication, assembly, and testing including precision fastening, bonding, and surface treatment processes Experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of spacecraft mechanical components (e.g., structures, panels, mechanisms, deployables, separation systems) Direct experience in spacecraft or launch vehicle structural integration, with an emphasis on precision alignment and interface control Background in spacecraft mechanical or structural environmental and qualification testing (vibration, acoustic, thermal) Experience building and producing classified hardware in SCIF's or SAP facilities Benefits Equity Health Dental Vision HRA/HSA options PTO and paid holidays 401K Parental Leave Company Overview True Anomaly is builds space security and resilience at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and autonomy.
