SOX Analyst, IT

Remote Full-time
Who You Are:

A detail-oriented and technically skilled professional with strong expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) IT compliance, IT general controls (ITGCs), and system process design. You thrive at evaluating risks within IT environments, documenting controls, and identifying deficiencies that could impact financial reporting. You are just as comfortable working with IT system administrators as you are collaborating with finance and operations teams. You balance independence and collaboration, bringing strong project management, technical knowledge, and communication skills to ensure IT compliance requirements are met.

The Task At Hand:

Once Upon a Farm is seeking a SOX Analyst (IT) to support the company’s SOX compliance program and ensure robust IT controls over financial reporting. This role will focus on IT General Controls (e.g., access management, change management, IT operations) and automated controls supporting key financial systems. You will assist with IT risk assessments, walkthroughs, control testing, and remediation monitoring, while collaborating with system owners, Finance, and external auditors. By ensuring IT controls are designed and operating effectively, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining trust, compliance, and strong governance across the organization.

In This Role, You Will:
• Support the execution of the company’s SOX program with a focus on IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Perform walkthroughs with IT and system owners to identify key controls and document them in risk-control matrices.
• Design and update IT process narratives, flowcharts, and test plans to reflect current practices.
• Execute ITGC and application control testing in accordance with PCAOB and external auditor standards.
• Track and validate remediation efforts for IT control deficiencies, ensuring timely resolution.
• IT Risk Assessment & Process Evaluation.
• Assist in annual SOX scoping and IT risk assessment activities.
• Assist in new system implementations, upgrades, or significant IT changes for impact on SOX controls.
• Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure consistent IT control execution and awareness.
• Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear and accurate IT documentation.

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification preferred.
• 1–3+ years of experience in SOX IT compliance, IT audit, or IT risk management at a public company.
• Experience with key ITGC areas (access management, change management, IT operations).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage X3), cloud environments, and automated control testing highly preferred.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter.
• Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet.
• Desire to contribute to a dynamic, high-growth, purpose-driven work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment.
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.
• Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation:
• Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
