Job Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale projects, developing project plans, and coordinating with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Evaluate current or future client needs and requirements by discussing directly with clients or using other methods Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope Complete project requirements, ensuring adherence to standards Define and drive complex program plans for multiple, simultaneous, related projects or for a single highly complex project Initiate, review, or approve changes to project plans Identify, review, or select vendors or contractors to address project issues Plan and work with teams associated with Offices projects Analyze and negotiate contract agreements using working knowledge of contract styles, developing a methodology, and making recommendations to assess consistency with corporate policies and goals and mitigate corporate risk Assess economy and effectiveness of space usage by defining potential changes in functionality, workflow, tentative plans for expansion, value engineering, and building codes to develop recommendations for better use Direct the preparation of technical drawings to ensure client/functional requirements are met, Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) standards are documented and implemented properly, and the budget is used productively May perform other work obligations as directed by Employee's Managers Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction or aviation industry A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or construction management Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage budgets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions Knowledge of business and construction management principles, including key planning, resource allocation, HR modeling, management policy, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Knowledge of contract administration, including types of contracts and implementing contracts Knowledge of construction methods and techniques Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates who have: A master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or construction management Professional certifications, such as PMP or CMRP Experience working in the aviation industry Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage budgets Ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions Knowledge of business and construction management principles Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Southwest Airlines, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
