Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sound Lead to join our team of game developers. As a Sound Lead, you'll work closely with our Creative Director and Design Director to define the audio vision for our AAA multi-stage game. You'll lead the creation of audio effects, music, character dialogue, and other sound content to deliver an immersive and emotionally engaging experience. Key Responsibilities Audio Vision and Leadership: Collaborate with the Creative Director and Design Director to define the sound vision for the game, and then lead the work to bring this vision to life. Audio Content Creation: Drive the creation of audio effects, music, character dialogue, and other sound content to deliver an immersive and emotionally engaging experience. Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work closely with the design and engineering teams to spec, build, and tune all sound systems. Content Implementation: Implement content in Unreal Engine, from rapid prototypes to robust live content. Team Management and External Partnerships: Manage and guide other sound team members, as well as oversee relationships with vendors and external partners. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage playtest, user research, and other data to inform game development and ensure a resonant player experience. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant field, such as audio engineering, music, or a related discipline. Industry-Standard Audio Tools: Proficiency with industry-standard audio tools like Wwise, Pro Tools, and others. Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, particularly in a remote team environment. Project Management: Proven ability to manage sound production that relies heavily on vendors and external partners. Growth Mindset: A growth mindset and enthusiasm for solving complex problems with others. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Unreal Engine: Experience with Unreal Engine and content implementation. Game Development Experience: Previous experience in game development, particularly in an audio-focused role. AA or AAA Game Credits: Credits on a AA or AAA game.
