Customers improve operational efficiency and cut observability costs by up to 70 percent.About the RoleWe are hiring a Solutions Engineering Team Lead for the East region to scale and guide a high-performing SE team. This is a player-coach role: you will remain customer-facing, owning critical deals and unblocking complex integrations while coaching and developing the regional team. You are accountable for the East SE quota and the technical validation that drives it.This is an opportunity to shape and scale the SE function at one of the most dynamic observability companies in the industryHybrid work model ā 3 days per week onsite at our Boston officeCore ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Field ImpactOwn regional SE performance in partnership with Account Executives, ensuring quota attainment and deal velocityHire, onboard and mentor Solutions Engineers, setting clear KPIs and career pathsMaintain a strong personal presence with customers, modeling technical excellence and closing strategic opportunitiesImprove processes for discovery, POC execution, documentation and knowledge sharingCollaborate with Product, Support and Customer Success to shorten feedback loops and accelerate adoptionDeep Technical ResponsibilitiesArchitect and deploy reference designs for logs, metrics, traces, SIEM and Kubernetes monitoring across AWS, Azure and GCPLead white-board deep-dive sessions on ingestion pipelines, index-free querying and cost-optimized retention strategiesProvide escalation support during POCs: troubleshoot complex issues, analyze logs, traces, craft PromQL, Lucene or Dataprime queries and isolate root causesTrack technical success metrics such as POC win rate, onboarding time-to-value and validation scorecards, converting data insights into process improvementsContribute code or scripts (Python, Go or Java) for custom exporters, automation and synthetic monitoring Apply tot his job
