Headquartered in New York, we’re a fully remote team with employees from around the world, spanning three continents.About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to help build and scale the Datafold Migration Agent (DMA) — an AI-powered product that revolutionizes data platform code migrations. DMA automates the static analysis, translation, and refactoring of analytical codebases at a million-line-of-code scale, reducing migration timelines by 5-10x and eliminating the need for manual work and costly consultants.Relying on your expertise in data engineering, client engagement, and technical project delivery, you will work directly with our customers to understand their current data infrastructure and desired state. Then, you will design and implement successful migration engagements by leveraging Datafold’s Migration Agent and partnering closely with the product and engineering team to ensure high-quality delivery.In addition to leading successful engagements, you will represent Datafold to prospective customers, and partner with account executives to expand the business, land strategic deals, and establish technical and business partnerships. Based on your deep knowledge of the product, customer needs, and the market, you will be a thought partner in developing the product roadmap.You will need to have the desire and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, bridging business, strategic, and technical concerns. Success in the role will have a massive impact on the efficiency and success of data migration efforts that would otherwise be extremely costly and time-consuming.In this role, you will:Work with customers and prospects evaluating the choice to leverage Datafold’s Migration Agent to ensure their migration takes weeks instead of yearsDevelop deep knowledge of both customer data environment and goalsDevelop deep knowledge of Datafold technologyDevelop implementation and project plans alongside the customer and partners to ensure timely delivery.Partner with Account Executive on new business, upsell opportunities, and delivery of migrationsPartner with software engineers and product managers to ensure Datafold Migration Agent projects are successfulBe the voice of the customer for Datafold, and the voice of Datafold for the customer – the communication bridge between the groupsIdentify potential blockers for customers in adopting Datafold and overcome them through building solutions, creating GTM assets, educating the users, and collaborating with our team.Provide thought leadership to our customers, our team, and the broader data community on the best ways for doing high-quality data engineering by creating content, leading demos, and participating in discussions & conferences.Requirements:Strong background in data engineering and technical project deliveryKnowledge of ETL/ELT patterns, data warehousing, and orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Informatica, dbt).Advanced knowledge of SQLWillingness to be hands on with the tech, and expand your comfort zone.
