Job Summary As a Solution Architect (Network Automation, Python/Bash Scripting), you'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing network automation solutions for our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, develop solutions, and ensure seamless implementation. Your expertise in network automation, Python, and Bash scripting will enable you to drive innovation and efficiency in our customers' networks. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of network automation solutions using Python and Bash scripting Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions Develop and maintain technical documentation for solutions, including design documents, test plans, and implementation guides Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network automation solutions Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in network automation, Python, and Bash scripting Essential Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in network performance solution architecting, with a focus on software development solution architecture skills Strong understanding of OSI layers, network protocols (e.g., Ethernet, IP, Fiber Channel), and network architectures (e.g., 4G/5G) Excellent knowledge of Python and Bash scripting languages, with experience in developing automation tools and scripts Experience with network automation tools, such as Ansible, SaltStack, or similar Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and present solutions Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry-related experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar Experience with network testing and validation tools, such as Test Complete or similar Familiarity with APIs and API frameworks Experience with project documentation, such as RFP, RFI, SRD, HLD, LLD, NRD, SOW, etc. Skills and Competencies Strong technical skills in network automation, Python, and Bash scripting Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and present solutions Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and support Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Cisco, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
