About The Role

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the technical architecture, design, and standardization of multiple client facing applications across multiple business segments.

Core responsibilities include interacting with stakeholders to understand business needs and then apply design principles to achieve secure, cost effective, highly performant, documented solutions. The Solutions Architect will work within a cross functional team to provide on-going escalated support and long term technical roadmap planning for both COTS and custom developed solutions. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with technical architects from other core engineering teams (development, network, storage, systems, security, automation, DevOps) to ensure enterprise standards are followed in all proposed solutions.

The Solutions Architect should be proficient in web hosting concepts, multi-tiered applications, high availability and disaster recovery concepts across a range of application topics.

The Solutions Architect should have the ability to quickly gain an understanding of new and existing applications, define and document requirements, and be proficient in communication with product or business owners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to research, troubleshoot and problem solve with a strong sense of urgency and minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

Design, Build, and Support multiple hosted applications of varying complexity and technologies

Participate in technical interviews with business or product owners and document application objectives, dependencies, and roadmap

Provide best practices and guidance regarding use current and future technical catalog

Document solutions and provide operational instructions to lower level support teams

Participate in an on-call schedules to provide critical solutions support

Collaborate with other IT Infrastructure and application teams

Enforce and continually improve standards and best practices

Work with key stakeholders in Project Management, Engineering, Development and QA to ensure high quality delivery of solutions

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of overall experience in IT

5+ years of experience in supporting cloud environments in a systems or Architecture equivalent role

3+ years of experience working with container based technologies

1+ years of experience to GenAI or LLM concepts

Familiarity with Windows and Linux based operating systems

Proficient with high availability and disaster recovery design concepts

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Ability to quickly take on new technologies and concepts

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with others.

Comfortable supporting fast-paced development teams.

Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent education and/or experience

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS

Experience with Databricks

Experience with infrastructure as code

Comfortable working in Agile and waterfall project management frameworks

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) familiarity

AWS certifications desired

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
