Overview: Our Design Services team is seeking a skilled Design/Drafter with 5-10 years of experience in structural design, pipe supports, pipe bridges, or piping infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and updating SOLIDWORKS models while coordinating project data and translating 2D contract drawings into detailed 2D submittal drawings for client presentations. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain SOLIDWORKS models for pipe supports, pipe bridges, and piping systems projects. • Utilize SOLIDWORKS models to create detailed 2D submittal drawings incorporating project data and specifications along with fully dimensioned fabrication drawings. • Collaborate closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines. • Capable of independently verifying work for accuracy and completeness. • Proficient in researching and proposing solutions to drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, interferences, and errors. • Ensure compliance with SAC standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the entire design process. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical design, or related field preferred. • 5-10 years of experience in structural design, pipe supports, pipe bridges, or similar areas. • Must be proficient in SOLIDWORKS. • Experience working with Revit, Navis Works, and Bluebeam Revu is a plus. • Should possess problem-solving abilities and have the confidence to make decisions independently. • Strong understanding of construction practices and materials. • Ability to read and interpret Engineering/Architectural drawings. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
