SolarCards Community Manager (events)
About the Role:
The Community Manager will drive SolarCards’ in-person community growth, focusing on collectors and players. They will organize local events, develop community-led initiatives, and facilitate accessible gameplay experiences. The core mission is to convert superfans into active participants and to attract new collectors through social experiences.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate and manage in-person SolarCards TCG events by leveraging platforms such as Eventbrite, while collaborating closely with the marketing and community teams to plan, promote, and execute beginner sessions, tournaments, and activations.
Publish and distribute event announcements across social media channels, and community platforms, as well as maintaining an organized and up-to-date calendar of all events to ensure visibility, consistency, and strong community participation.
Identify potential organizers and ambassadors from the existing community and customer segments.
Create low-friction learning materials (quick-start sheets, mini videos, demo sessions) to make gameplay easy and fun.
Support the collector ecosystem by promoting trading, community interactions, and content creation.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to highlight new cards, sets, or accessories at community events.
Help capture raw content (photos, short videos, and testimonials if possible) at the events to be handed over for social media distribution.
Monitor and report on engagement metrics and feedback from community activities.
Explore opportunities to expand the community beyond core fans, including TCG enthusiasts and parents of young players.
About You:
Experience managing community programs, ideally for games, collectibles, or TCGs.
Strong organizational and event planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with trading card games or collectible communities is highly desirable.
Creative problem-solving to reduce play friction and enhance social activation.
Comfortable working independently and on location for in-person events.
