Software Safety Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Safety Engineer to enhance the safety and reliability of our automotive software systems. ou’ll be part of a dynamic international team driving excellence in automotive software safety. Your mission will be to perform thorough requirements and code reviews, support risk assessments, and collaborate closely with software developers to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.Work type: remoteKey Responsibilities:Conduct thorough reviews of software safety requirements (SWE.1) to ensure compliance with ISO 26262Perform detailed code reading and review activities (SWE.2 + EA) to identify potential safety issuesSupport the development and maintenance of the functional safety concept and safety caseCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and validate safety requirementsAssist in hazard analysis and risk assessment activitiesParticipate in safety audits, assessments, and reviewsEnsure traceability between safety requirements, implementation, and verification artifactsContribute to the development and enforcement of safety processes and best practicesWork closely with software engineers to integrate safety mechanisms into the software designRequirements:Proven experience in software safety requirements review and code review/reading Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standard and its application in software developmentUnderstanding of AUTOSAR architectureSolid software engineering background with ability to analyze complex codebasesExperience with safety analysis methods such as FMEA, FTA, or similar is a plusFamiliarity with safety management tools such as JAMA is an advantageStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teamsGerman language is a plusApply Now!
