Software Quality Automation Engineer

This role is for one of our clients Industry: Human Resources Services Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Min Experience: 5 years Location: India JobType: full-time We are seeking a Software Quality Automation Engineer to lead the development of scalable automated testing solutions for web and mobile applications. In this role, you will architect and maintain automation frameworks, enhance testing efficiency, and ensure product reliability through continuous quality validation across the development lifecycle. Role Overview The Software Quality Automation Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing test automation frameworks that improve release velocity, test consistency, and software quality. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to deliver robust test coverage, drive automation best practices, and support high-quality releases across platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for functional, regression, system, and end-to-end testing. Develop reusable test scripts and libraries for web and mobile platforms. Build automation solutions leveraging modern tools and frameworks across frontend and mobile ecosystems. Integrate automated test pipelines into CI/CD workflows to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops. Partner with development, QA, and product teams to define test strategies, review requirements, and ensure optimal coverage. Identify opportunities to enhance reliability, performance, and automation efficiency across the QA process. Maintain traceability and documentation for automation architecture, test coverage, execution reports, and results. Contribute to scalability and stability improvements within test environments and tooling. Technical Skills Experience building web automation frameworks using modern tooling (e.g., Playwright, Selenium). Strong hands-on experience in mobile automation using Appium for iOS & Android. Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or equivalent. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test reporting tools, and version control systems. Familiarity with testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices. Preferred Qualifications 3–6 years of hands-on experience in test automation for web and mobile products. Exposure to cloud device testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.). Experience in agile development and cross-functional collaboration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
