Software Engineer - Sensor HIL Platform

Zoox is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join our Advanced Hardware Engineering team and focus on building an automated test system for emulating various sensors. In this role, you will architect, design, code, document and lead the work from start to finish. Qualifications BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant disciplines7+ years of industry experienceStrong proficiency in Python and C++Familiarity with networking and and socket programmingStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with build systems, version control, and testing methodologiesExperience with development on Linux systemsExperience with hardware and software integration and testingWorking knowledge of schematic design and PCB layout tool Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with console and graphical UI frameworksExperience with safety-critical systemsExperience with designing and implementing custom Verilog RTL for Xilinx FPGAsExperienced in embedded software design for ARM cores on Xilinx and Xilinx SDK Additional Information CompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $162,000 to$233,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
