This role combines real-world engineering with cutting-edge AI integration, including environment configuration, database design, and scalable API/service layer development. Key Responsibilities • Configure and optimize software environments for AI applications • Design and implement scalable APIs and service layers • Architect and manage complex database schemas • Collaborate asynchronously with AI teams to deliver high-performance solutions Ideal Qualifications • 3+ years of elite engineering experience at top-tier startups, hedge funds, or quantitative trading firms • Hands-on experience using coding agents in your workflow • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science from a leading institution in the U.S., Canada, or UK • Proven ability to design and scale large codebases • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and API development • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication Engagement Details • Commitment: 10–20 hours per week (flexible, with potential to scale up to 40 hours) • Duration: 1–2 months with potential extension • Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous • Start Date: Mid to late September (applications reviewed on a rolling basis) Compensation & Contract • Rate: $70–$110 USD/hour • Independent contractor classification • Weekly payments via Stripe Connect PS: Applications are reviewed daily.
