As a trusted partner to the U.S. government and allied nations, Lockheed Martin continually pushes the boundaries of technology to meet evolving defense needs. • *About The Role** We are seeking a highly skilled Staff-level Software Engineer to join our Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the software development, testing, and maintenance activities related to the F-16 Operational Flight Program (OFP) Common Modular Environment (COMET) avionics Integrated Test Stands (ITS) and associated testing software tools within the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF). Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of critical avionics systems on F-16 aircraft. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced aerospace systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to national defense initiatives. • *Qualifications** • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college • Experience with at least two (2) of the following: Unix/Linux System Services, C/C++ Software Development, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Aircraft Weapons Systems knowledge, or Avionics Modeling / Aircraft Weapon Simulation modeling • Experience with Operating Systems such as Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux, or VxWorks (VxSim) • Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance • Must be a U.S. Citizen • *Responsibilities** • Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software used to test OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions and ensure system compatibility • Participate in software reviews, audits, and validation activities to ensure quality standards are met • Maintain and update existing software tools and test environments to improve performance and reliability • Support software troubleshooting and issue resolution during testing phases • Contribute to technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials as needed • Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards throughout all development activities • *Benefits** • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans • Retirement savings plans with company matching contributions • Flexible work schedules and remote work options where applicable • Paid time off and holidays to promote work-life balance • Professional development opportunities and ongoing training programs • Employee wellness programs and resources to support overall well-being Equal Opportunity Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
