Software Engineer in Test (L2)

In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure our product meets the highest quality standards. You will be expected to write, execute, and maintain automated tests using Playwright while growing your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.You'll join a dynamic team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to architect and deliver cutting-edge features that power a platform used by some of the world’s leading organisations. This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India. To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 12 PM to 9 PM IST. What You’ll Be DoingExecute functional, regression, and smoke testing for enterprise-grade applications across multiple environments.Write, maintain, and enhance automated UI test scripts using Playwright.Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.Participate in sprint ceremonies including standups, planning, and retrospectives, contributing a QA perspective.Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.Assist in maintaining test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test data.Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage.✨What We're Looking ForMust Have2–4 years of overall experience in software quality assurance and testing.Minimum 9-12 months of hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation.Solid understanding of manual and functional testing methodologies for web-based enterprise applications.Familiarity with tracking tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent).Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into them.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills.Good to HaveWorking knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript.Prior experience with Cypress or other UI automation frameworks.Exposure to API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman).Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
