We provide our customers with the most competitive shipping rates, print labels, automated international documents, shipment tracking, facilitate the returns process and more.As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll collaborate with our product team and engineers to create and maintain systems that enable our user’s most critical workflows through our web appYour work will directly impact how customers experience our brand through:- Modifying our backend systems to enable new features and improve system reliability and scalability.- Delivering high-performance, observable features that create exceptional user experiences- Contributing to well-abstracted, reusable component systems that ensure consistency and qualityShipping & Handling ResponsibilitiesTransform complex requirements into elegant and performant features and productsImplement end-to-end solutions for new pages, features, and experiencesDevelop and lead execution against both short-term and long-term roadmapsContribute to reusable components that enhance product consistencyDeliver robust, thoroughly tested code while taking full accountability for features from inception to productionContribute to architectural discussions and technical breakdowns that drive the product’s scalabilityPartner with product and design to balance innovation with engineering best practicesProvide technical insights during planning and review discussions to streamline implementationSupport QA initiatives to strengthen test automationContribute to tools that accurately model and analyze user behaviorBuild and execute an iterative roadmap for continuous improvementsImplement tools and telemetry to better understand technical and business impactDo you tick the boxes?6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in building and maintaining scalable, distributed systems across both front-end and back-end.Experience working across both backend and frontend development, including APIs, services, databases, and modern UI frameworks.Proficiency in server-side programming (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Ruby) and SQL databases.Familiarity with frontend technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Ability to debug and optimize full-stack applications for performance and scalability.Passion for building user-friendly and reliable applications.Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.A mindset of continuous learning, craftsmanship, and team success.BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience).What is in the Shippo package:Healthcare coverage for medical, dental, and vision (90% covered by the company, incl. dependents).
