We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Technology and Digital. As a key member of our Warehouse Supervisory crew, you will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance the cast experience and drive business growth.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to create innovative solutions that combine technical expertise with creativity. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, coding, testing, and deploying software applications that meet the needs of our warehouse operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify and resolve issues, evaluate and recommend solutions, and execute against plans.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and code to develop robust software solutions
Identify and resolve issues, assessing and recommending the best course of action
Collaborate with managed service providers and vendors to resolve issues, particularly in the domain of security
Develop and implement software applications using new or existing technologies
Participate in creating specifications for assigned tasks, projects, and fixes
Communicate technical and business information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Participate in the design and development of new features and enhancements to the software platform
Work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps, and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
Comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and related execution models (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Iterative Development)
Java/J2EE development skills, with a proven track record of creating business-quality software solutions
Working knowledge of microservices, RESTful Web Services, and APIs
Experience with object-oriented programming and design principles
Knowledge of technical architecture, application systems design, and integration in a large heterogeneous enterprise environment
Familiarity with Java, .Net, SOA, XML, ProC, Perl, HTML, PHP, JSP, open-source, JavaScript frameworks (Angular and Node.js), GIT, Maven, Jenkins, HP ALM, UC4, JIRA
Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, Enterprise operating systems (Windows, Unix, and Linux), and Cloud-hosted services like Azure, AWS, GCP, and VMWare

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Experience with warehousing systems
Experience with supply chain and logistics systems
