Software Engineer, Business Platform (Mid-level and above)

Our all-in-one "business in a box" solution optimizes operations, automates workflows, and accelerates cash flow — allowing drivers to focus on growing their business.Being an all-in-one platform, our product development teams tackle a broad range of complex challenges ranging from understanding geolocation and logistics route optimizations, to IOT and SaaS integrations, to business workflow automations, to building fintech products.As a software engineer on the Business Platform team, you will leverage your skills and expertise to make key technical decisions and deliver products that meaningfully impact and empower the truck drivers on our platform, as well as our internal-facing teams. We are the primary engineering partner for Operations, Safety and Customer Success teams and we help them operate the business efficiently and successfully.Examples of projects that you may work onBuilding features, automations and tooling to enable drivers move safely and efficiently, allowing them to make more money with us.Improve and maintain our internal trucking management system that is used by CloudTrucks operations, safety and success teams to support drivers, on and off the road.Support round the clock tracking of loads to keep our brokers and business partners informed, and our drivers aware of upcoming milestones and best practices.Iterate and improve our existing architecture to support the business at a 10x → 100x scale, while maintaining and reducing overheads.Leverage LLMs to revolutionize our approach to problem-solving, enabling us to tackle complex challenges with unprecedented efficiency and creativity, while continuously pushing the boundaries of what's possible in software development and user experience design. Eg.build a document processing engine that is able to ingest unstructured or heterogenous data (e.g. PDFs, scanned images, etc) and extract structured data and insights. Leverage this capability to automate business critical workflows.build AI bots / RPAs to automate end to end lifecycle of user centric features that add value to the users’ overall experience with the CloudTrucks platform. Eg. chatbots, task automatons, etc.ResponsibilitiesDesign, test, ship, and maintain solutions to problems and products.Take complete ownership over projects and features. Work across a range of systems and technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions.Partner with cross functional teams to ensure a complete and delightful customer experience.Help set and improve our engineering processes, standards, and tooling.What we are looking forStrong technical background, including 4+ years of industry experience as a software engineer working on production systems.Enthusiasm for and knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in software development.Familiarity with LLM-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or Aider.Experience or strong interest in leveraging LLMs for delivering features in production environments.Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership.Takes a user-focused approach, shipping incrementally with rapid iterations.Strong communication and collaboration skills.
