We launched our Auth for GenAI offering and we are looking for an Engineer II to join us to lead the team taking care of the Identity Protocols parts of the game.Auth0 works with NodeJS ( Javascript or Typescript), a hint of Go and MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases. What will you do:Gain expertise in identity and security while building innovative features and standards that will secure the Agentic AI worldBuild and maintain scalable services using TypeScript, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL/MongoDB.Collaborate with other product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features that improve identity and access for GenAI applications.Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and system design discussions.Contribute to observability and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance of our services.Continuously learn and grow by working alongside experienced engineers on complex distributed systems.Qualifications and requirementsWhat you'll bring to the role:3+ years of engineering experience.Solid programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with NodeJS runtime environments.Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Postgres and MongoDB).The ability to write well-tested, good quality code.A technical background, capable of helping a team evaluate trade-offs during development.An enjoyment of working in an iterative development environment.The ability to work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value results.Excellence when working autonomously, knowing when to seek help from team members.A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.Experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration, and application layers.Bonus points for:Understanding of IAM ConceptsExperience with using AI Agents, to better understand the problem space we operate inExperience creating and maintaining public and secure APIs.Curiosity about AI and and its intersection with identity and security.Experience working on Identity and Access Management software and conceptsKnowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.What you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!Amazing BenefitsMaking Social ImpactDeveloping Talent and Fostering Connection + Community at OktaOkta cultivates a dynamic work environment, providing the best tools, technology and benefits to empower our employees to work productively in a setting that best and uniquely suits their needs.
