Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology: build and advance technological backbone for Disney’s media business globallyActivation team role: build and maintain Activation Data products and data sharing platformBuild components of large-scale data platform for real-time and batch processingOwn features of big data applications; improve performance, scalability and availabilityParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, code reviewsBuild automated tests to ensure application reliability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 3 years of related software development experienceMinimum 3 years’ experience with Python, Scala, or JavaFamiliarity with SparkFamiliar with complex SQL development related to extract, transform, and load processesFamiliar with testing tools, such as pytest, junit, or equivalentUnderstanding of source control systems such as gitUnderstanding of CI/CD conceptsKnowledge of AWS technologies and cloud infrastructureAptitude for learning new skills and technologiesFamiliar with QA or QE is a plusPreferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time event-driven architecturesExperience with AWS
