The Transporter Experience Under The Roof (TransporterX UTR) and Development platform (DevPlat) org is obsessed with building a delightful experience for Transporters during pickup and load, building tools that will help developer community across last mile to increase their velocity and speed to deliver features and hold a high bar software quality. You will hire and develop a world-class team of engineers, with a deep understanding of agile software development methodologies, and will work closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and leadership across the company with excellent communication skills. You will work with our product management team to develop the strategy, followed by architecture and implementation of critical features into our mobile platform. You will own software in all phases of the software life-cycle from architecture and design through deployment and release. You will learn about Amazon’s logistics network, interact with other teams to build optimized systems, and have autonomy to deliver software which impacts multiple delivery provider programs. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of engineering experience3+ years of engineering team management experience8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experienceKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyExperience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
