ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a Cloud Native & Linux application development and delivery PT/Architect​ working for the Linux Engineering Organization, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying the next generation of Kubernetes as a distributed OS. You’ll work closely with Product Management, QA, OS dev, and customer-facing teams to ensure software requirements are met timely. Excellent communication skills, collaboration, and teamwork are essential, as you’ll actively participate in global projects. You should have 10+ years of cloud development experience to succeed in this role. ABOUT YOU Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to architect cloud-native solutions that align with business objectives and best practices. • Build a Kubernetes distribution, package and build a distributed OS for cloud-native applications. • Fix internal and customer-reported defects and support customers building cloud-native applications. • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows; ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. • Implement security best practices, tools, and compliance requirements to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data in cloud-native environments. • Drive innovation by researching and evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance our solutions. • Mentor and coach engineering teams on architectural best practices, coding standards, and emerging technologies. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 10+ years’ experience in cloud technologies • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or similar. • Excellent knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (k3s/k8s) • Experience deploying and managing VMs + KVM. • Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and API design. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Proficiency in pipeline automation. • Proactive and adaptable with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies. Desirable: • 3+ years’ experience building ML models in commercial products. • Experience in NLP, LLM, Knowledge Graph, and related fields. BENEFITS • Flexible home office! Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
